We've all had someone do us a favour and returned it at some point in our lives, from lending a cup of sugar to a neighbour to letting someone go ahead at the supermarket till. Some call it karma, others simply want to feel as though they're doing a good deed, making the world a little better. You often hear of people "paying it forward" at various coffee shops or drive through restaurants, someone offers to pay for the person behind them. No idea of who they are, or what they're ordering, someone just decides to try and start a positive chain reaction. The team at Bwyd Da Môn are often asked about members passing their membership on to someone else if they can't come in one week, some will have a friend come in on their behalf, others simply give the week a miss, which then allows us to use the funds gained from the subscription fee to support members of the community who may need an extra boost for a few weeks*. The number of people who choose to perform this simple act of kindness always warms our hearts, and we hope that as we're able to make a greater difference to those who need us, it will warm yours too.

*any members referred to us for a subsidised membership are done so through partner agencies, rather than directly by Bwyd Da Môn. This service is not a substitute for the food banks on Anglesey who provide a critical front line service to those most in need of food, instead we do our best to complement their hard work and are proud to work alongside them.
